Rocket Shirt
October 23rd, 2010
I found this striped t-shirt at the thrift store and it was so soft, I wanted to make something cute for Uly out of it. I started playing with the square layers and added the rocket, and thought perfect! It””s a bit too big–mostly too long. His belly is so big, I wanted to make sure it covers–most of his shirts leave him with a bit of a draft. It amazes me how few t-shirt scraps are left from a men””s large shirt after I make these.
We””ve had so many sunny days lately, but the air is pretty chilly and crisp. I can””t help but wish it had been sunny this summer when it was warm and I wouldn””t need boots and a jacket to play outside. I hate being cold. It brings with it so many ailments–colds, heat rash (for me), heating bills. Whine, whine, whine! Let the whining begin! It does have its benefits though. I””m throwing a Halloween party with a friend and fall decorations, candy, and soups and ciders sure are comforting.
Update! I found this adorable, edible rocket sandwich that looks pretty easy to make and too cute to pass up. Check it out!
