Recycled T-shirts
September 20th, 2010
Alas, Uly”s collection of mama-made t-shirts. I”ve had so much fun making these. They are starting to get a little snug and the weather””s changing, so I”m sure some long-sleeve versions are in his future. He needs new pants, too, which are simple and fun to make, and all the more rewarding because no pants fit him! He”s wearing a size 2T or 3T in the waist, but then they drag so long I would have to hem them, which takes nearly as long as sewing a pair tailored just for him.
I did a little sewing this weekend–worked on a quilt for a new baby girl. I”ve been starting to think about Halloween decorations, a visit to the pumpkin patch, and other Fall-type things. I hate the end of summer (wait, what summer. I don””t think I had one in Seattle this year!), but I do enjoy Fall and all the celebrations.
And I leave you with a link–isn”t this fun? I particularly like this artist.

These are so cute! And to think my husband thought that since we”re having a boy I wouldn”t do any sewing for him. I”ve already noticed that while I have tons of onesies & shirts, I hardly have any hand-me-down pants, so I”m going to have to start sewing soon.

Dacia- These are really unique. i don”t know if i”ve ever seen anything like them before. What a great way to reuse fabric.
