Baby Blanket
September 22nd, 2009
This is a baby blanket I whipped up in a moment of crafting time, kindly supplied by my husband. I used leftover fabric I had on hand, which was nice. I love using up the stash. Of course, shortly after I made this I purchased about five yards from Sew Mama Sew. It was lighter for a few moments at least. We’ve been having a lovely Indian Summer (although in this photo with the babe it would appear we’re in the dead of winter; it was a cold morning). It’s been so sunny and gorgeous outside, we all feel very blessed. Uly and I have been spending most of our time out of the house. We go for long walks together and run errands. It’s been a very busy summer. My brother just got married off this last weekend and my best friend gets married in a few short weeks! We’ve had lots of company and celebrations.

What a beautiful blanket and gorgeous baby!
(BTW, did you know that this post appears as some sort of drug advertisement in Google Reader. You might want to check it out. I’m so glad I came over to see what the post really was, because your work is lovely. I can’t believe you whipped this up!)

I love it! I am quilt obsessed right now – maybe you can teach me some skills when you visit. Uly looks amazing in that sweater – I wish I was wearing one just like it (here: cold and rainy). Miss you!
