That’s my baby bump on the right. I’m pregnant with a little boy due in mid-May. That’s my girlfriend on the left, due on the same day with a little boy too! Ryan and I are so excited. We’ve been waiting some time to have babies, and are finally on our way–after nearly seven years of marriage and lots of waiting and nagging from our families. I’ve been feeling great, so hopefully that continues as I’m still working and would like to continue to do so.
There is SO much stuff on the market for babies. I can hardly believe how many material items something so small could possibly need, but I have found some things I just love but would never afford, like this diaper bag, or this ridiculously adorable crib sheet set, or this modern high chair. Wow. And the clothes! Unfortunately not as cute for boys as girls. I have a hard time understanding why someone would spend $75 on a onesie for a newborn that might be worn for a month, but so cute! Cuteness all over!

and even if you do splurge on something they will inevitably throw up on it, or something else equally disgusting. But babies are lovely and you are a lucky gal. Congratulations! And it’s extra lucky to have a friend going through it all with you.

congrats! kids are wonderful! I just had my third and I don’t know where I’d be without them. Happy pregnancy and boys are so great! I loved having a boy first!

It’s expensive but not when you consider how much the bag would cost you to buy. You should give it a go!

Yay for belly pictures! My hubby took that :), how very artsy of him! I’m so excited for your little one to pop out! We need to work on some rip off sewing, ok? We can totally make that diaper bag for a fraction of the cost! I’ll help!

If you look in the right places you can find good boy things too and of course you can always applique the onesies/tees yourself.

Maybe time for you to start working on a quilt for your little boy? I made Jude one while pregnant with him, it in now his official ‘bankie” that he carries around everywhere like Linus.

How exciting!– Congrats to you both!… We did the seven year wait too, for our little guy (well worth the wait). I saw the pic on Flickr before you posted and wanted to say CONGRATS but you know how you can never just assume? Even though the pic was so darn cute?!

Congratulations on your upcoming bundle of joy.
I love that baby bag (who wouldn’t). Here in New Zealand we have a great online auction where you can buy second hand (and some new stuff). I got my baby bag brand new (as unwanted gift) for $10.00. From a shop it would have cost me about me $70.00. My one little piece of advice is get the best you can afford. Pick a couple of things that you will spend a little more on (maybe a baby bag) and others (like onesies) that you can save on.
