Clean Up Giveaway!

July 26th, 2007

Craft Supplies

I’ve been feeling stifled by my fabrics lately. Some of them have been in my stash for a couple of years now and I’m feeling the need to move on and give some away! If you would like a box of goodies in the mail (good-size pieces and scraps), please leave a comment (and any color you would prefer not to have) and I’ll draw three names from a hat and send some new-to-you fabric and trims. I’ll email you if your name pops out and you can send me your address then. Deadline for sign up is August 2.

In other news, I’ve been catching up on some much-missed stories of late. Like I was under a trance, I finished the last installment of Harry Potter (sadness!) in two sittings, and I have now moved on to the second season of “Weeds,” which came out this week. Both are very satisfying and much needed distractions from the lousy weather we’ve been having. It’s very depressing for a summer-lover to have weeks on end of rain, clouds, and 60-degree weather. Ugh. My heart hurts from longing for the beach and picnics and barbecues. Summer, wherefore art thou summer?

Count me in! My friend recently hemmed up her jeans in the way you described and I wanted to find a tutorial before doing it myself. Looks like a great, easy, free way to go! I’ve got several pairs waiting!

  • 13. Christa Z.  |  July 26th, 2007 at 6:18 pm

And out of the wood work we do come.
First off, thanks for the know how on the Spring Rolls, I’ve always wanted to make my own, eiie, thanks.
Secondly on the color wheel, BRIGHT colors are a bit of a turn off (fluorescents) and then sometimes, primary colors do the same thing to me.
Cheers on the destash and thanks for the opportunity.

  • 14. Marcelle  |  July 26th, 2007 at 6:29 pm

What a great idea! I usually donate fabric I don’t want to a group that makes quilts…this is much more fun. If on the odd chance I win, I would love anything that wasn’t pink or purple. Even if I don’t win, what a nifty idea! Now I can’t wait to get sick of some supplies…

  • 15. Sarah  |  July 26th, 2007 at 7:08 pm

  • 54. Jodi  |  July 28th, 2007 at 1:42 pm

What a lovely giveaway! I’m not a big fan of yellow.

I’m sad to be done with HP. I wonder what the next big book will be? There was something very neat about such a large group of people being excited to read a book rather than watch the Superbowl or a sci fi movie.

    Happy crafting,

  • 55. katie jean  |  July 28th, 2007 at 8:36 pm
