Christmas Decorations

I think I would have fit well in the fifties (save for some equal rights issues). I’m on the pink/silver/blue tinsel train and I like my fake tree. I wouldn’t mind hosting cocktail parties for my neighbors and I would love to throw on a bosom-flattering dress for such an ocassion. But, it’s well past the fifties so I guess I’m just retro. Hmph. Anyone interested in that cocktail party anyways?

I spent the Saturday after Thanksgiving decorating our house. I’m usually not one to break out the Christmas quite so early, but I received a whole loot of Christmas decorations for my birthday back in July and I was itching to get them on display. Isn’t that candy garland just delectable? I love this so much I had trouble finding the perfect place for it. Not sure I have yet. I didn’t want to hide it in the tree, but I may be moving it.

When you have that cocktail party, can I come?

    Bosom-flattering? Sign me up!

    Ha ha.

I do love your fake tree, but in general I don’t like fake trees, which attests to your super powers of decoration. The candy garland looks so sweet!

Dacia, How do you manage tinsle trees and cats? Mine see tinsle and think “snack food”. I would have the most festive litter box ever ;)

I love the idea though of an old fashioned cocktail party. Cosmos would look lovely with your decorating scheme.

i’d definitely wear a bosom-flattering dress had I a bosom to flatter. sigh.

Your holiday decor looks wonderful! I’m planning to decorate this weekend – waking up to the snow in Chicago this morning seems like a perfect time to get Christmasy. :)

pretty pretty! I’m breaking out Christmas early too, why do you think we’re jumping the gun this year? I mean, we bought our real tree yesterday? I’ll be watering it for a month (which means laying on the floor and pouring water blindly). What am I thinking, you ask? ???

Christmas lights turn boring streets and homes into fabulous winter wonderlands where people express their festive moods and styles. Your blog posts and pictures do the same. Thanks.
