Shades of Earthtones

This was my parting gift to Aja, my best friend who is now very far away in Connecticut. She had asked me for a log cabin pillow some time ago. It’s very very difficult for me to work in this realm of color–all those earthtones–but I’m happy with the outcome. I think she is, too. I miss you Aja.

Not my colors either (other than the green) but I have to say that is one beautiful pillow! Love the mix, v. bold.

Your work is so lovely! Wish I could sew as well, or choose colors that look as good together. How exciting it must be to have moved and sort of start again!

I adore my pillow, and I love the earth tones. Yay for bold colors! No pink for me, no siree! You did such a fabulous job on this pillow, its gorgeous. I cuddle it as I cry myself to sleep missing my best friend (that would be you!)
