Bird Cards
April 29th, 2006
I’ve been meaning to make some cards for a while, and the perfect inspiration came via an Etsy purchase (I’ll show pics later). My earrings were wrapped in this gorgeous bird print, which I believe was wallpaper at some point in time. The smaller images are from a book my old job publishes yearly to display all of the images they have for sale – there are some really fun pics. The cards are for some thank you packages I’m sending out. I still have to come up with something sewn to put in… still pondering that.

Is this your first weekend post? The cards are pretty. I wish I could see the texture of the bird print better…Way to recycle :o)

Dacia,
Sorry this hasn’t a thing to do with your cute cards, but I don’t have an email address for you. It occured to me, as I was perusing your site, that perhaps you would be interested in designing the stamp for our coffee stand name (which is still a little shaky…). But I had the idea of getting white cups, designing a stamp, and stamping the logo on (ok, maybe a bit arduous, but I did it at another shop I worked for and they turned out looking really cool, as each looked kind of individual) (unless of course you know an incredibly cheap cup printing place). I remembered that you did that sort of thing and had mentioned an interest in helping with design stuff. Would you be interested?

Very funky. I think the black background with the bright colors is perfect.
