My New Best Friends
April 28th, 2006
Mobile Phone, Satellite System, and Blue Pill are my new best friends. They comment all the time and say sweet things like, “Buy mobile phone now” or “Try blue pill today!” Really, I’m touched, and if you sold your blue pill and mobile phone on Etsy, I might just be tempted by your repeated offers. Seriously, what’s up with the spam? I’m going to have to start moderating comments now, as the spam filter I installed last weekend broke my site. So head’s up: it’s not you, it’s them. Speaking of comments, is anyone out there? Usually the softies bring home the comments… Is everyone on vacation? Spring fever? You can tell me if the bears are ugly; I won’t hate you. Really, I can appreciate honesty.
And, here are the kitties, Celandine and Aloe, both of whom are for sale on my Etsy shop. I just love Celandine. She’s my favorite of the bunch. Check out her sweet dress. It has hedgehogs, owls, and mushrooms! So sweet. I have quite a few other things to share and my husband will be completely absorbed in watching the football draft this weekend, so more to come soon! Have a fabulous weekend.

I too have started moderating comments. I haven’t been getting random spam, but strange and mean-spirited (I think? He/she doesnt explain) from an “anonymous.” I think you should make boy softies. Although, how can they possibly have as pretty clothes as the girls? ;o)

I see you’re on wordpress, try the plug in

spam karma 2…I just installed it last week because I was getting 50+ spam comments a day, and the moderating was too bloody much work. The plugin harvests for you, and sends a report. Very nice.
The dolls are gorgeous. Can’t wait to have $ again after we sell this house, so I can buy some for the kiddos in my life!

I love the bears and the Kitties! We’ve been really busy and my company has randomly been blocking your website. They are soooo paranoid. Anyway I am sending you a package real soon. :)

I love your bears and their amazing dresses – major props for the pretty dresses!! Your kitties are so Springy and Summery (yes, they can be both!) I say no to spam and yes to comments.

I was abducted by aliens and now I have returned.
The bears are great, and I love that you gave them each their own name. I’d really love to learn to sew little things like yours!
I’m not a spammer. Promise. Though if you want to come check my site for our latest gourmet science experiments from our fridge and collector’s edition dryer lint, you’re more than welcome.
Have a nice weekend.

I think your bears and kittys are adorable. I actually did try to leave a comment about the bears, but I kept being directed to some strange place. Anyway, I’m here now, and I thought your post too funny (although I’m sorry you’re getting spammed so)

Oh, now I feel bad. I often lurk on your site Dacia, but will start leaving more comments! : ) I think your bears and kitites are lovely. . . and I always like the amazing fabrics you choose.

I have been behind on my blog reading. But you really made me laugh with this post, your complete honestly and humor are perfect. Your kitties, and that little red riding hood fabric, are adorable. You definitely have a D. Ray style, mark of true art.

Grin. I feel like a stalker. I’ve been reading here but never taking the time to type out the grand comments popping up in little bubbles above my head.
Like: I love the fabrics she uses! & I LOVE these little kittens. & I must remember her log cabin tutorial, as I’ve been meaning to wing one of those (and probably make a mess of it!)
Sorry. I know the silence can be deafening. You do great work girl!
