Oh So Long
January 26th, 2006
My sincere apologies for the silence and thanks for all of your kind kind words, as usual. You guys sure know how to lift a girl’s self esteem. I have been away, hence the lack of posting and craftiness. I went to Seattle to visit my family and friends and have since come down with a cold bug… damn those nasty airports! I had a lovely time in Seattle. I shopped, ate at a million different yummy restaurants, went to church, the market, and watched the playoff game (ok, sort of).
Anyhow, this is my bottle of corks. It’s to the point of bursting, so I need to find a new vessel for my memories. I write the date and occasion of each wine bottle drunk on the cork and save them. Every once in a while, my husband and I dump them out and pick out our favorites. I love this treasure trove.

I do that too! But, your bottle is WAYcooler than mine (which has a fat bottom and way skinny neck – and is only half full!)
Hope you feel better soon!

I think I’ve come down with a cold too, despite loading up on Vitamin C. I think saving the corks is a sweet tradition, and there’s so much crafty potential with corks. Get well soon.

I’m a wink cork saver myself! I have mine in a big glass pitcher, but I still have a ways to go before I fill it up. Ater the baby comes…I CAN’T WAIT!
